Friday 13th July 2007: I got the early train down to Huddersfield for the biorama hike. It was a wet and wild day on the moors. Here Brandon is netting some aquatic insects.

Later on, near a dam, we cam across froglets, emerging from the water. In the spirit of biological field work we caught counted and released the frogs. We counted 50 live frogs and found four that had died. Apparently, the process of metamorphosis places extreme demands on the frogs metabolism. In other sites, Brandon has found frogs with multiple legs(the USA) and in England, frogs without legs.

Andy Gracie(http://www.hostprods.net/blog/) talked about nematodes, GPS and new explanations for phenomena such as iridium flares and earth lights(http://www.hostprods.net/blog/archives/40).
