Observation of nature is soo cool. With science giving us 1.5 million names of different species (with an upper limit of 100 million, http://hypertextbook.com/facts/2003/FelixNisimov.shtml) there is no way that all behaviours could have been observed.
So take a time to look…nature is diverse.

Taking as a bit of inspiration petehindle.com, I have been running wordle.net over a few bunches of text.

  1. isea 2008 Singapore titles of the 275 papers being given there.
  2. my del.icio.us tags.
  3. isea 2008 All the text from the paper title page, including names and countries.

Have a look at them.

Mashed 2008 presentations

Well,
I have done my first Mashed/Hackday presentation. The lights out competed the poor LED, must have more power for later.
What is it?
An arduino controlled RGB led(pirahna). The Arduino can be controlled through the serial port to change the color. Currently I have a python program that handles that. Yet to get it reading a file on the internet. Once i get that, then I can integrate it with FireEagle and calculate friends proximity with me, and depending on their distance change the color.

Topsy asked me to do a time series of the Harkers Billboard changeover from Michael Davies’s Shelflife(Kallisti) to Sarah Wales’s Untitled

I think it looks pretty good.
